My Story

Hello! 

Broaden Out Their Horizons is a tiny charity doing amazing work, taking inner-city London school-kids on exchange trips to South African schools and offering South African students the oportunity to come to a London school in return.

Here are some videos that show you what an impact these trips have on the lives of these young Britons and South Africans.

BOTH have just completed the South Africa leg of their latest exchange and, as usual, it has been a transformational experience for the children.

And BOTH do this on a proper shoe-string, cobbling together funds from quiz-nights, sponsored runs and whatnot.

I am one of the directors of BOTH. My main contribution to the charity is to do stupid things like run or cycle for money!

So will be doing the London-Brighton cycle ride on September 16th to raise money for BOTH and hope that you can sponsor me. We need to raise as much money as we can to keep doing this amazing work.

Today more than ever I think we need to champion the cause of making friends across borders. And we need to start when people are young!
